The most common weed killer is “2, 4-D” (2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid). It comprised one-half of the chemical cocktail code named “Agent Orange,” during the Vietnam War. Newer research links it to increased risk for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and ALS (“Lou Gehrig’s Disease”). Ontario, Quebec, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Kuwait have all banned the use of 2, 4-D as a cosmetic herbicide. So, why haven’t we caught on yet?
